ABUJA/Nigeria: The Senator representing Delta Central Senatorial District, Distinguished Senator Ede Dafinone, has felicitated with His Royal Majesty, Ogurime-rime Ukori I, Michael Omeru, CON, the Ovie of Agbon Kingdom, on the celebration of his 75th birthday anniversary.
In a message signed on Sunday, September 28, 2025, Senator Dafinone described the monarch’s reign since his ascension in February 2003 as a period marked by dignity, progress, and an unwavering devotion to his people. He noted that the Ovie of Agbon has built on the enviable legacy of his predecessor, the late Chamberlain Orovwuje, Ogurimerime I, by guiding the kingdom into an era of renewed cultural pride and development.
“Your reign has brought immense blessings to our people. You remain a beacon of wisdom, a custodian of our cherished traditions, and a pillar of strength for the Urhobo nation,” Dafinone stated.
The senator also lauded His Majesty’s exemplary leadership, which, according to him, has fostered unity, peace, youth development, and community advancement not only within Agbon Kingdom but across Urhobo land and Delta State.
“On behalf of the people of Delta Central, I celebrate this remarkable milestone of 75 years. I pray the good Lord grants you many more years of good health, divine wisdom, and strength to continue to guide your people and contribute to the progress of our senatorial district,” Dafinone added.
