AGBOR/Nigeria: It was a happy mood Sunday, May 30, 2021, as Her Excellency, the wife of the Executive Governor of Delta State, Dame Edith Okowa who turned 60 years Tuesday, June 1, 2021 celebrated with the Agbor Custodial Centre, extending alms to the inmates.
Her Excellency donated over 100 mattresses to Agbor Custodial centre, while in her usual manner, she had a feast with the Inmates.
In preparation of the event and a near custom with Her Excellency’s birthday celebrations before now, the Local Government Chairmen, where the Correctional facilities are located were directed to present relief items to the inmates on behalf of Her Excellency and as such the birthday celebration happened simultaneously in all the Custodial Centres in Delta State.
The occasion saw Her Excellency cut her birthday cake and special song rendered by the Female inmates of Agbor Custodial Centre.
Consequently, the Controller of Corrections Ovie Friday Esezobor, who was present at the event on behalf of the Controller-General of Nigerian Correctional Service, Haliru Nababa mni, expressed profound gratitude for the kind gesture and wished Her Excellency many more fruitful years ahead as she celebrates in good health.
