Dealer Urges Government To Explore Economic Benefits Of Palm Wine

AGBOR/Nigeria: A popular palm wine dealer in Owanta Aliosimi, Ika North East Local Government Area, Mr. Emeke Igbute, has urged Delta State Government to take advantage the economic potentials of palm wine to boost her revenue.

Mr. Igbute made this known in a chat with newsmen at his Palm Wine Shop, located along state Owa-Alero Road Owa-Nta Aliosimi.

According to him, am looking at a situation where government work out strategies to harness the countless economic benefits in inherent in the massive production of palm wine.

“This is one area successive government at different levels have ignored even when there are a lot of revenue derivable from the tropical and product”

“The establishment of such institution will help create job opportunities for our teaming youths across the communities, which in effect will reduce crime and social vices associated with hunger,” he stated.

While saying that Ika people have the best Palm wine in the country, said “assorted drinks can be extracted from palm wine. Experts should be engaged in this direction and great results will be gotten.”

Continuing, Mr Igbute, who hails from Ute-Okpu Kingdom in Ika North East Local Government Area, observed that selling of Palm Wine is a very lucrative business.

“My wife and I decided to go into the Palm Wine business because we understand that manner cannot fall from heaven.”

“Let me cease this opportunity to encourage our youths to engage themselves in any profitable venture around them, instead of relying on people to give you before you will survive it, for how long,” he argued.
