DELSU Rusticate 6, Place 1 on Indefinite

ABRAKA/Nigeria: As part of efforts to restore discipline to university academics, the Management of the Delta State University (DELSU), Abraka, has rusticated six students and placed one on indefinite suspension for examination malpractice and other related offenses.
Specifically, the lone student placed on indefinite suspension is a direct consequence of his/her refusal to appear before the Examination Malpractice Disciplinary Committee.
It was learnt that the student, like his colleagues, had a case of examination malpractice leveled against him but refused to appear before the Committee to defend his/her self.
They are students of the Department of Biology, Physics Education, Political  Science Education, Economics and Nursery and Primary Education
The students, who are students of College of Education, Agbor, an affiliate of the Delta State University, Abraka, were given six semester rustication each.
The suspension will take effect from first semester 2017/2018 to resume studies in the first semester of 2020/2021 academic session. In addition to the stipulations, all examination written within the period of punishment are cancelled.
