ASABA/Nigeria: With the political divide in the state continuing to get charged up for the National Election come 2023, various groups in Delta state has started strategizing to pitch their tents with some of the notable persons who had directly or indirectly showed interest amongst those who are clamouring to take over from the incumbent Governor, Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa.
As part of such moves and alignment, a youth group in Delta State, Delta Grassroot Alliance, DGA, had said that they would prefer a man like Dr. Braduce Amakazi Angozi to take over from the incumbent Governor Ifeanyi Okowa.
Addressing newsmen in Asaba on Friday, April 2, 2021, in an event held in the Leader of the group, Mr. Tochuckwu Okonkwo, said the group is giving his support to Dr. Angozi, because of his past records of youth empowerment, and human capital development at his previous appointments, and in private lives.
Mr. Okonkwo said its on record, that as Commissioner of Agriculture, Dr. Braduce Angozi carried out a revolutionary process, which today is still been felt by many farmers, especially regards to agricultural loans.
Speaking further, the youth leader, said his relationship and love for youths, is unequaled, as he had at different occasions demonstrated his desires to see that youths receive educational assistance, training that will help them to live a viable and fulfilled life.
The youth leader, said their desire is to see that the next governor of the state come 2023, is a man of integrity, and one that will drive the economy of the state through innovation in order to continue the growth of the state economy.
He therefore called on youths irrespective of the tribe to give their supports to Dr. Angozi, in other to secure their future after Okowa.
