ASABA/Nigeria: In an affirmation of the State Legislature’s dedication to advancing policies and initiatives that foster harmony, cohesion, prosperity, and effective governance in Delta State, Rt Hon Emomotimi Dennis Guwor, the Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, has again reaffirmed the assembly’s unwavering commitment.
In a statement marking the 32nd Anniversary of Delta State’s establishment by the military administration led by General Ibrahim Babangida in 1991, Rt Hon Guwor conveyed his warmest felicitations to the people of Delta State. He expressed confidence in a more promising future for the state.
Extending his heartfelt regards to Governor Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevrwori, Speaker Guwor highlighted the administration’s “MORE” agenda. This strategic plan, he emphasized, holds the potential to build upon the achievements of previous administrations, propelling Delta State toward greater heights.
Urging the populace to uphold their optimism and rally behind the government’s endeavors, he assured that the 8th Assembly is resolute in its commitment to maintaining a harmonious and productive relationship with the Executive branch. This collaboration, he noted, is instrumental in nurturing democratic governance and expediting comprehensive development, even in the state’s remotest corners.
“We’ve coexisted as a diverse populace within Delta State’s boundaries. Our collective love and shared aspirations have bound us together. I fervently hope that this unity and affection will endure, fostering an environment of tranquility and progress,” stated Guwor.
He further encouraged perseverance, articulating his belief that Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s “MORE” agenda will build upon past accomplishments and introduce even more substantial development throughout every corner of the state.
The Speaker confirmed that under his leadership, the 8th Assembly will remain steadfast in executing its legislative duties. He emphasized the unity among Members, united by their conviction in the imperative of sustaining peace, unity, and effective governance.
