ASABA/Nigeria: The All Progressives Congress, Delta State Chapter, Prophet Jones Ode Erue and the State Working Committee have distant itself from the publication by some group of persons who styled themselves as the Executive and stakeholders of APC, Delta State, wherein it was said that Delta APC adopts direct primaries.
Barr. Ogheneluemu Sylvester Imonina, Publicity Secretary, APC, Delta State, said in a statement that for the avoidance of doubt, no such resolution and position had be taken by the Party, noting that the publication is mischievous, malicious and tainted with blackmail.
Meanwhile, there shall be a meeting this weekend at the State Party Secretariat, where decision as to the mode of party primaries shall be taken. All and sundry should therefore treat the above publication with ignominy.
It should be noted that the best interest of the Party shall be considered and be a guiding principle in any decision to be reached, adding that it is an attempt to deceive genuine members of the Party and the reading public.
