ASABA/Nigeria: The United Kingdom chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Delta State, has congratulated Governor Sheriff Francis Oborevwori on his 62nd birthday, describing him as a visionary leader whose calm but resolute leadership is driving remarkable progress across Delta.
In a goodwill message jointly signed by its chairman, Barr. Lucky A. Gbenedio, and executive members Jude Bakpa, Pastor Sheddy Okpako, Ms. Bimbo Susu James, and Mrs. Maggi Idris Faruk Jr., the group lauded Governor Oborevwori’s inclusive style of governance and dedication to the upliftment of all Deltans, regardless of political affiliation.
The statement, issued Thursday in London, highlighted the governor’s strides in infrastructure development, urban renewal, and grassroots-focused initiatives under his M.O.R.E Agenda, noting that these efforts are reshaping Delta’s socio-economic landscape.
“Governor Oborevwori’s leadership has transcended political lines. What we see is a governor focused on service delivery, stability, and long-term growth. His humility, accessibility, and deep understanding of the people’s needs are commendable,” the statement read.
The APC UK chapter praised the governor’s achievements in peacebuilding, youth empowerment, and healthcare, describing him as a leader with both the will and capacity to deliver. They urged him to sustain the momentum and deepen engagement with the diaspora for greater development impact.
Pledging their support, the group expressed readiness to collaborate with the governor on diaspora engagement, investment promotion, and skills transfer, while calling on all Deltans to unite in building a prosperous, peaceful, and equitable state.
“As Deltans in the diaspora, we recognize progress when we see it. We are proud of His Excellency’s achievements and stand ready to support his vision for a greater Delta,” they added, praying for the governor’s good health, wisdom, and continued courage to lead the state to greater heights.
