ASABA/Nigeria: Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Emomotimi Dennis Guwor, has called on the newly elected executive of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Delta State to remain steadfast in upholding the ideals of the party.
In a congratulatory message to the newly elected Chairman, Chief Solomon Arenyeka, and other members of the State Party Executive, Guwor praised their emergence as a testament to their dedication, hard work, and experience in party politics.
Expressing confidence in the new leadership, Guwor stated that Chief Arenyeka, alongside the Deputy Chairman, Chief Moses Iduh, and the three Senatorial Chairmen, Engr. Dan Ossai for Delta North, Hon. Anthony Akpomiemie for Delta Central, and Prince Emma Amgbadugba for Delta South—would infuse fresh ideas, energy, and direction into the PDP’s activities in the state.
“I congratulate the newly elected leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Delta State,” Guwor said. “This marks a new chapter in our party’s journey, and I am confident that our new leaders will build on the successes of the past while introducing fresh ideas to drive our party forward.”
As the Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly and the National Treasurer of the Conference of Speakers of State Houses of Assembly in Nigeria, Guwor pledged his full support and cooperation to the new leadership. He emphasized his commitment to working closely with them to advance the interests of both the party and the people of Delta State.
“We will work together to strengthen our party, promote development in the state, and ensure the continued prosperity of Delta State,” Guwor added.
The Speaker, who represents Warri South West in the Assembly, also led the Warri South West delegates to the Party’s Congress, held at the Cenotaph in Asaba. He commended the process that led to the formation of the new PDP Executive, highlighting the peaceful, exciting, and democratic nature of the exercise.
He also congratulated the party’s leader and Governor of the state, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, for his role in ensuring a smooth transition.
Guwor further paid tribute to other party leaders in the state, including former governors, deputy governors, and past speakers of the State Legislature, for their unwavering commitment to ensuring unity and purpose within the PDP.
“I urge all party members to rally around our new leaders and work together towards a common goal of building a stronger, more united PDP in Delta State,” Guwor stated. “Let us put the interests of our party and state above individual ambitions and work towards a brighter future for all.”
Concluding his message, Guwor once again congratulated the new PDP leaders and wished them success in their roles.
