Obiaruku: The by-election conducted in Ukwuani LGA of Delta state to fill in the vacant seat from ward 7, Ezhionum, has been won by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), candidate, Mr Isaiah Atuma, with 470 votes against his rival from the All Progressive Congress APC, Mr Okwose Ifeanyichukwu, who scored a total vote of 321.
Announcing the result in presence of the party agents, security men and the press, the Returning officer, My Sunday Okudiowu said based on the state electoral act, Mr Atuma of the PDP is declared winner, with a simple majority.
The election, which held in ten units of the ward saw PDP clinching 9 units, and the APC one unit, which was unit 4.
