The Delta State Governor, Dr Ifeanyi Okowa Commissioning the St Peter’s Catholic Church, Iselegu

ABOH/Nigeria: The Delta State Commissioner for Lands and Survey, Mr Chika Ossai has promised to uplift the people of his area from hunger, and wants, so that they will have access to the basic things of life.
The commissioner stated this in Iselegu, Ndokwa east Local Government Area during an empowerment programme which he organised through his foundation today, October 26, 2017.
The empowerment programme which has the Delta State Governor in Attendance, also witnessed the commissioning of the St Peter’s Catholic Church which he built for the town.
The Commissioner noted that the beneficiaries of the empowerment programme were carefully selected from across the ten (10)wards of Ndokwa East LGA with the core view of ensuring that those who really needs the empowerment makes the list of those to be empowered, as he assured that more of his constituents would be accommodated in subsequent phase of the foundation’s empowerment.
While praising the governor for his ingenuity in the management of the meagre resources in the state, he advised the people not to relent in their prayers for him.
Earlier in his Address, Governor Ifeanyi Okowa applauded Mr Chika Ossai and his foundation for rolling out the empowerment programme at such a critical moment. He called on the beneficiaries of the empowerment programme to make sure that the items given to them are judiciously utilised, calling on other appointed and elected Political office holders to replicate same gesture as that of Ossai in their different LGAs and constituencies. He equally urged those not selected in this first phase to be patient and prayerful, as better days awaits them.
High point of the Gathering was the presentation of empowerment items to selected beneficiaries ranging from Cars, Grinding machines, Knap sack sprayer and cash rewards to the tune of 5million Naira
