ASABA/Nigeria: Delta State Commissioner for Secondary Education, Mrs Rose Ezewu, has commended teachers for the pivotal role in the growth and development of any society.
Mrs. Ezewu made the commendation in her statement released in Asaba to congratulate teachers on the World Teachers Day celebration scheduled to hold on October 5.
The Commissioner described teachers as critical stakeholders in the education system, adding that the should continue to contribute their quota towards sanitising the sector.
While congratulating them on the world teachers day celebration coming up on October 5, Mrs Ezewu advised teachers in the state to continue to play the role of nation builders.
Mrs. Ezewu, who admonished teachers to redouble their commitments in discharging their duties effectively, stressed the need for them to always appreciate the huge investment of the Okowa’s administration in the education sector.
She enjoined them to shun divisive tendencies and strive for the unity and progress of the profession even as she described education as a noble profession.
