ABOH/Nigeria: The people of Okpai has committed the killed crocodile to mother earth after the management of the Oil Giant Company, AGIP the managers of the biggest gas plant in Sub-Sahara Africa fulfilled the payment of certain amount of money to the community.
Ndokwa reporters recently reported on the incident, that the company had agreed to pay the sum of N50 million to off set the bill for the burial, and cleansing of the land as the killed animal is a deity of the people of Okpai, a community in Ndokwa East of the Delta State.
While, the management of the company is denying the payment of such money, a reliable source from the company said the company did not pay up to the said amount, but N4 million naira.
The burial of the crocodile from a video obtained by Ndokwa Reporters showed a the motorcade lead by an Ambulance from the St. Luke Mortuary Kwale, Ndokwa West Local Government Area.
To spice up the burial, a popular Ndokwa Musician, Chuks Igba was hired to perform at the funeral.
