KWALE/Nigeria: The Emu-Ebendo Community in Ndokwa West Local Government Area, Delta State has distributed three hundred bags of 50kg Rice (300 bags) to indigenes and other communities in Emu-Kingdom.
Speaking during the flag off of distribution at Emu-Ebendo Town Square the Community Development Committee Chairman (CDC), Mr. Augustine Eni said the support by the community was to caution the effect of the Lockdown on the people.
He said the programme was funded by the Community through Ebendo-Energia Trust Fund to ameliorate the suffering of the people.
Speaking while receiving the palliatives HRM the Ezemu of Emu Kingdom Obuenwe Johnson Ekpechi Ulu commended the Emu Ebendo Community for their magnanimity in extending their palliatives to other communities and to his palace.
While showing appreciation, Ogbuewu Ujene Aniogbe, the Okpala-Uku of Amorji-Onicha Ukwuani praised Emu-Ebendo Community as the first community to embark on distribution of palliatives at this critical moment to other communities. He extended his blessings to Emu Ebendo for their philanthropic gestures.
The products worth Ten Million naira were distributed to Emu-Ebendo, Emu-Unor, Emu-Obodoeti, Emu-Ebeoma, Emu Iyesele communities and Emu Ebendo Branches in Diaspora. Others are Amoji- Onicha-Ukwuani and the Palace of the Ezemu of Emu Kingdom.
