AGBOR/Nigeria: The landlords and landladies in Ika nation have been called upon to build a database of tenants living in their houses in order to checkmate the high rate of insecurity in Ika land and Nigeria in general.
This was disclosed to newsmen by Bishop (Dr) Augustin Iweribon, the head of the newly constituted association of Ika Nation churches leaders during an interactive session with news men on the newly constituted association.
Speaking in his residence to news men Bishop Iweribon said that Ika nation churches leader’s forum was formed to contribute their quota to the general development of Ika nation not just by praying alone but involving in other physical activities to contribute their quota that could fast track development and foster peace and harmonious coexistence in Ika land.
He said the forum had a meeting with Ika landlords /land ladies association where the landlords were instructed to take a database of the tenants living in their houses which could go a long way to checkmate security breakdown in Ika land.
He explained that most crimes that are perpetrated in Ika land are by people living in different houses and that it will be easier to checkmate the crimes if landlords know their tenants, by names, what they do for living, their permanent home address and are closely monitored.
He further explained that the Fulani herdsmen that live in the bush and indulge in kidnapping are not working alone but that they are aided by people who are living among us through supplying them information, food, recharge cards as well as help in collecting their ransoms.
He also said that they have visited the kings of the various kingdoms that make up Ika land and have advised them to do their best in helping to drive the Fulani’s herdsmen out of the entire Ika land.
Bishop Iweribor also said that the association is working in collaboration with other security agents in Ika land such as the military, the police, vigilante groups and others and that their collaborative efforts have been yielding plausible dividends.
He revealed that the association gathered very recently to lay curses on cultists and their collaborators in Ika land following the recent cult war that erupted in Ika land which left a lot of young boys dead and their lives wasted for nothing.
