ABOH-OGWASHI/Nigeria: The people of Aboh-Ogwashi, situated in Aniocha South Local Government Area of Delta State, have welcomed the ongoing World Bank and state government health centre project with open arms, expressing hope that it will bring much-needed relief to the area upon its completion.
During the official ceremony marking the commencement of the project in the community, residents shared their sentiments regarding the transformative impact they anticipate. For years, the lack of adequate healthcare facilities has forced the community’s residents to travel extensive distances in search of medical attention, leading to significant hardships.
Speaking on behalf of the community, Chief Chiedu Onwuadiamu, known as the Okwabani of Aboh-Ogwashi, conveyed the community’s gratitude for the realization of the long-awaited health centre project. He pledged the continued support of Aboh-Ogwashi residents to the state Governor, Rt. Honourable Sheriff Oborevwori, and his team, emphasizing their commitment to fostering more development in Aboh-Ogwashi and the entire state.
In addition to their appreciation for the state government, the people of Aboh-Ogwashi commended the Chairman of Aniocha South Local Government Area, Pastor Jude Chukwuweike, for his notable developmental initiatives in the region. They acknowledged his instrumental role in obtaining approval for the health center project and described him as a promoter of peace.
Furthermore, the residents expressed their unwavering support for Chairman Chukwuweike’s continued tenure, citing his impressive track record and dedication to community development.
Among those who shared their views with the media were Barrister David Chalokwu, Mr. Michael Chalokwu, Community Secretary, Diokpa of Aboh-Ogwashi, Apostle Augustine Chalokwu, Mr. Young Nwankwo Onwuadiamu, Mr. Nwaokolo Joseph, Engineer Ezekiel Chalokwu, and the site engineer, among others. As the health center project progresses, the community remains hopeful that improved healthcare services will soon become a reality, easing the burden on its residents.
