Delta Community Urged To Be Involved In Electoral Process

OBIARUKU/Nigeria: Delta State Commissioner for Finance, Sir Fidelis Tilije has urged members of his community to be involved and committed in the electoral process of the State and nation for the betterment of the country.

He made this appeal when he played host to PDP faithful across the 10 Wards in Ukwuani Local Government, Delta State.

Sir Tilije emphasized that it was imminent for all Nigerians to embrace the clarion call to rescue Nigeria from the shackles of the All Progressive Congress (APC) led administration.

The finance commissioner urged his community members to support the Atiku/Okowa journey to presidency, stating that they possess all it would take to salvage the country.

He said: “It is no longer a matter of choice but it has become mandatory to deliver PDP at the Presidential election, Governorship to the very last election that concerns our great party PDP.”

Speaking on the choice of Dr Ifeanyi Okowa as the PDP’s Vice Presidential Candidate, Tilije expressed his confidence in Okowa saying that his works were evident.

He reminded the people of Ukwuani of the developmental strides of Gov Ifeanyi Okowa across Ukwuani with several completed roads and ongoing bridges being constructed across the local government area.

The commissioner retreated that it was only someone with a good track record from the office he or she had held that could confidently showcase to the people and ask for their support again.

Tilije emphasized the importance of Deltans, mostly those of the Anioma extraction, in putting more efforts in this election than past ones, saying that a son of Anioma in the person of Dr Ifeanyi Okowa was the Vice Presidential Candidate of the PDP.
