OGHARA/Nigeria: Ahead of the forthcoming Local Government Council election in Delta State, a Chairmanship hopeful under the platform of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Ethiope West Local Government Area, Hon. Ogheneakpobo Tashemi, has pledged effective and quality leadership as well as meaningful socio-economic development for the good people of Ethiope West.
Hon. Tashemi, who gave the assurance at Oghara while addressing some party faithful, said that if elected he would not only build on the achievements of the current Chairman, Hon. Solomon Golley but leave behind an endearing legacies, especially in the area of enhancing peace and security and attract development of all part of the council.
While saying that his administration would accord priority attention to agricultural reforms as a deliberate approach to generate income for the council that could be further invested into several developmental projects,Hon. Tashemi stated that effective machineries would be put in place to partner with some foreign and local investors to establish Cassava Processing Plant in the area.
Hon. Tashemi, who disclosed that Ethiope West under his watch would be transformed into an Industrial hub of the state, appealed to the good people of Ethiope West Local Government Area to rally round his aspirations in order to actualise his positive dream for the people.
Recall that Hon. Ogheneakpobo Tashemi was the immediate past chairman of the People’s Democratic Party in ward 5 and also one time Supervisory Councillor for Works in Ethiope West.
