ASABA/Nigeria: The Deputy Speaker, Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon Ochor Ochor, has congratulated the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and the Governor-Elect and Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon Sheriff Oborevwori on just declared Saturday, March 18, 2023, Governorship and State House of Assembly Elections.
The Deputy Speaker, in a Press Statement signed by his Press Secretary Emmanuel Enebeli, on Tuesday, March 21, 2023, were he described the victory of the party and the candidate as a divine victory for the state.
He stated that despite the odds against the party, and its candidate, Rt. Hon Sheriff Oborevwori, the party with the help of the electorates overcame the challenges and came out victorious.
He further stated that the outcome of the election result in the state, where the party won in 21 Local Government Areas was a clear indication of the love of the people and trust of Deltans in the leadership of the party in the state, through achievements of the governments in the past years under the PDP.
He also used the occasion to thank the state Governor, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa for his leadership, which had brought the confidence of the party in the state.
“I heartily congratulate our great party, the PDP, and the Candidate, and now the Governor-Elect, Rt. Hon Sheriff Oborevwori and his Deputy, Sir Monday Onyeme on their victory in the just concluded Governorship Election.”
“This Victory to me is a divine victory. We were against a very big obstacle, but we overcame the obstacle by the Grace of God.”
“The outcome of this election had further rekindled the confidant of the people in the party, as the victory was brought by their support because they believe in the party.”
“I will also, have to thank his excellency, the Governor of Delta State, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa for his mastery leadership, which he used to galvanise the members and supporters that lead to this victory.” He said.
