ASABA/Nigeria: Delta State Commissioner for Finance, Sir Fidelis Tilije, has urged staff of the Ministry of Finance to put in their best performance in order to generate more results.
Tilije gave this charge when he made an office-to-office inspection of the ministry’s space in the recently inaugurated Prof. Chike Edozien Secretariat, Asaba.
“It is in a bid to create a more conducive working environment for the Delta State workforce with the end goal of achieving more results that His Excellency, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa saw to the commencement and completion of this edifice,” Tilije stated.
He urged staff to put in their very best and be productive, saying that no one had an excuse to do otherwise, pointing to the comfort and ambience of the new secretariat.
Tilije said that his inspection was to ensure that the staff had settled in well and were at their respective duty posts.
Speaking on behalf of the staff, the Permanent Secretary in the ministry, Mr Cornelius Semiteje, said that the new secretariat provided a conducive working environment for staff and the results had already begun to emerge.
Semiteje vowed that the staff would not let the state government down but continue to turn in more efforts to see that the state grow from one level to another.
