KWALE/Nigeria: Delta State First Lady and Founder of the You Matter Charity Foundation, Deaconess Tobore Oborevwori, will visit Kwale on Thursday, August 13, for a medical outreach expected to benefit about 120 children with special needs from across the Ndokwa/Ukwuani Federal Constituency.
The visit is part of an initiative by the You Matter Charity Foundation to provide medical support to children with special needs in Ndokwa West, Ndokwa East and Ukwuani Local Government Areas.
In a statement signed by the Deputy Director of Information and Head of the Information Unit of Ndokwa West Local Government Council, Mrs Blessing Uduma, the council said arrangements had been concluded for the First Lady’s visit and the hosting of the outreach at the council headquarters in Kwale.
The beneficiaries are expected to comprise 40 children each from the three local government areas, which make up the Ndokwa/Ukwuani Federal Constituency.
The programme is being jointly hosted by the three councils and is focused on providing medical assistance to children living with autism and other special needs.
The You Matter Charity Foundation, founded by Deaconess Oborevwori, has organised medical outreach programmes in different parts of Delta State and provided support to children with special needs through healthcare services, mobility aids and educational materials.
The Chairman of Ndokwa West Local Government Council, Hon. Goddey Obi Nzete, said the council was ready to receive the First Lady and support the successful conduct of the programme.
Nzete stated this while reviewing arrangements for the visit and expressed satisfaction that Kwale would host the outreach involving beneficiaries from the three local government areas.
He called on sons and daughters of Ndokwa to turn out to welcome the First Lady during her visit.
The medical outreach is scheduled to take place on Thursday at the headquarters of Ndokwa West Local Government Council in Kwale.
