Delta Governor Calls for Unity for State’s Progress

EKPAN/Nigeria: In a fervent call for unity and progress, Delta State Governor, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori, emphasized his unwavering commitment to the collective growth and development of the state.

Speaking at the 40th birth anniversary thanksgiving service of Stella Okotete, Executive Director of Business Development at NEXIM Bank, Governor Oborevwori underscored the importance of harmony for the state’s prosperity.

Addressing attendees at Christ Missionaries Crusaders Church, Ekpan, Uvwie Local Government Area, Governor Oborevwori reiterated his administration’s dedication to maintaining peace and security, core tenets of his M.O.R.E Agenda. He commended Okotete for her achievements and grassroots engagement, emphasizing the inclusivity of his governance.

“I am very happy to be here today, and it shows that I am a Governor for all Deltans,” Governor Oborevwori affirmed. “I want all of us to be united with the interest of developing Delta State.”

Highlighting the essence of leadership and the need for a legacy of service, he expressed confidence in the state’s continued peace and development. He concluded with gratitude for the support of the people.

In her response, Okotete, a former National Woman Leader of the All Progressives Congress, expressed gratitude to God and Governor Oborevwori for the inclusive atmosphere of the event, transcending political differences.

Earlier in the service, Archbishop Goddowell Avwomakpa emphasized the importance of gratitude and resilience in facing life’s challenges, echoing the sentiment of celebrating milestones with praise and thanksgiving.
