ASABA/Nigeria: The Police Service Commission (PSC), in collaboration with the Nigerian Police Force (NPF), has commenced physical and credential screening for various categories of candidates at the Delta State Police Command Headquarters, Okpanam Road, Asaba, as part of the ongoing Police Constable Recruitment Exercise.
The directive was conveyed in a statement signed by the Director General of the Delta State Bureau for Orientation and Communications, Dr. (Barr.) Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe, who urged all qualified candidates, particularly those of Delta State origin, to take advantage of the exercise and present themselves for screening within the stipulated period.
According to the statement, the exercise is specifically targeted at candidates who missed their earlier screening appointments, those who completed online registration and printed forms marked “QUALIFIED” but did not receive invitation letters, as well as candidates who received invitations without assigned dates and centres.
It also covers candidates who were issued letters of appointment indicating dates and venues but are yet to undergo the screening process.
The screening exercise is scheduled to hold daily from Tuesday, April 7 to April 18, 2026, beginning at 8:00 a.m. at the Delta State Police Command Headquarters in Asaba.
For further enquiries, candidates were advised to contact DCP Rita Emesim of the Nigerian Police Force or Barr. Anthonnette of the Police Service Commission through the provided telephone lines.
The statement, however, clarified that candidates who have already been screened should disregard the notice.
Meanwhile, Governor Sheriff Oborevwori has encouraged all eligible candidates from Delta State to participate actively in the exercise, describing it as an opportunity for youths to contribute to national security while advancing their careers.
The government reaffirmed its commitment to supporting initiatives that promote employment opportunities and strengthen security architecture within the state and the country at large.
