ASABA/Nigeria: Delta State Commissioner for Information, Mr. Charles Aniagwu, has congratulated his Public Relations Officer (PRO), Mr Samuel Ugbaja who marks his birthday at the ministry’s headquarters, Asaba, recently.
The ceremony which held at the ministry conference hall, was well attended by management and staff of the ministry, including the Permanent Secretary Mr Paul Osahor, the Special Assistant to the commissioner, Mr Power Osiweho, the Director of Information, Mrs Theresa Oliko among other directors
Aniagwu, while congratulated Mr Ugbaja as he turned a year older, praised him for his hard work and diligence in carrying out his assigned responsibilities.
The commissioner appreciated the gathering and also the benefits of coming together occasionally to celebrate and unwind, saying that it was a platform for productive interactions among superiors and subordinates.
He urged information officers to shun timidity, rather, they should interact respectfully.
Mr Samuel Ugbaja, thanked God for the grace to be alive to celebrate, and also the commissioner for creating the enabling in the ministry for him to deliver on his job.
He equally thanked the permanent secretary, directors and staff for the show of love.
The highlights of the ceremony included the cutting of the birthday cake and the rendition of birthday songs for Mr Ugbaja.
