ASABA/Nigeria: The Chief Judge of Delta State, Justice Marshal Umukoro has declared Monday, September 7 to Friday, September 25, 2020 as the annual vacation for high court of justice in the state.
A vacation notice by the Chief Judge said that the 2020/2021 Legal Year would commence on Monday, September 28, 2020 and that three Judges have been designed as vacation judges in the three senatorial districts in the state.
It reads: “Therefore, pursuant to Directions under Sections 35 and 36 of the High Court, Cap H3, Volume 3, Laws of Delta State 2006, the High Court of Delta State shall be on vacation for 15 working days (three weeks) that is from Monday the 7th day of September, 2020 to Friday the 25th day of September 2020.”
The statement said that Justice Emmanuel Dolor shall sit as vacation Judge in Delta Central Senatorial District at High Court No. 4 Effurun while in Delta South Senatorial District Justice Veronica Agboje (Mrs) shall sit as vacation Judge at High Court No. 4 Warri, and Justice Ferdinand Enenmo shall preside over cases in Delta North Senatorial District at High Court No. 5, Asaba.
The statement enjoined legal practitioners, litigants, stakeholders in the administration of Justice and the general public to take note and act accordingly.
