Delta LGA Election: PDP Unveils Party’s Candidates for Chairmanship Positions

ASABA/Nigeria: The Delta State Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Barr. Kingsley Esiso has unveiled the flag bearers of the party for the January 6, 2018 Delta State Local Government Election.

Briefing the press today, November 13, 2017 at the Party state Secretariat, in Asaba, the chairman, Bar. Olorogun Esiso who threw up this challenged the opposition All Progressive Congress, APC to come out of their bedrooms and test their strength at the forth coming Local Government Elections, forecasting that Deltans already know where to cast their votes.

In his words; “We want to also use this medium to encourage other parties not to sit down in their bedrooms and believe that they will win elections. We are encouraging them to come and campaign. We want to meet them in the field, they should come and tell Deltans what they have done to and for Deltans through their parties. Probably, they will come and tell Deltans that they have brought Nigeria into recession, that today our market men and women can no longer buy foodstuffs from the market.

While presenting the PDP-chosen Chairmanship candidates alongside their Vice for the LGA Elections, Esiso said; “We are here to inform Deltans that our party, PDP is prepared to go and campaign vigorously for our candidates based on two strategies. One is simply our believe, our trust in the ability, capacity and capabilities of our candidates to win elections, because they have all been carefully and thoroughly screened after which they passed through the Primary process and emerged victorious in their respective constituencies.

“Secondly we are going out there to campaign, basing our campaigns on the achievements of the PDP led government ably led by our Governor, Sen. Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, believing that in the past two years plus, the PDP led Government in Delta State has delivered on our campaign promises which include, superlative infrastructural developments including constructions and renovations of roads, including constructions and renovations of schools, including constructions and renovations of markets and health centres, and hospitals and of course, creating jobs for our youths through the office of Job creation which has gone a long way in empowering our youths. Consequently we believe Deltans are waiting for us to support our candidates trusting in the contributions of the party in the state in developing our people.”

Speaking further, he disclosed that, a state wide campaign for the PDP aspirants will kick off on the 17th of November, 2017 at Aniocha North Local Government Area with Governor Okowa leading the Vanguard across the 25 LGAs which will elapse on the 21st of December, 3017 at Ukwuani local Government Area.
