OBIARUKU/Nigeria: The Deputy Speaker, Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon Christopher Ochor Ochor, had called on members of Delta Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Ukwuani Local Government Area to continue to work in harmony, to remain as one invisible body in the area.
The Deputy Speaker, made the call at the end of the Party’s primary to select the candidate for the position of chairman for the party in the forthcoming Delta state Local Government Election Members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ukwuani Local Government on Monday, December 28, 2020 at the party secretariat.
Hon Ochor while thanking the Executives of the party, pointed out that party had demonstrated the common spirit that had been its unifying factor in picking the flagbearer of the party for the March 2021 Local Government Election, and it should be sustained to continue attraction of the dividend of democracy to the area.
“We must continue to galvanize ourselves, work in harmony to make sure the party remains one indivisible entity.”
“We have demonstrated the spirit of oneness, which had been our unifying force, as we had today successfully picked our candidate for the chairmanship Position, coming up in March, 2020.
Meanwhile, the party had selected Barr. Possible Ajede, as the consensus candidate of the party, in the area.
Introducing the agenda and reason for the gathering of the party executives, the Ukwuani LGA PDP Chairman, Engr. Patrick Kaine, told members that they are there to ratify the candidature of Barr. Ajede Possible who recently emerged as the consensus candidate of the party.
The LGA PDP executives and five (5) man working committees across the ten (10) wards in the local government gathered at the party Secretariat in Obiaruku to officially affirm the candidature of Barr. Ajede Possible
The party returning officer to Ukwuani LGA, Mr. Appearance Esiso in the presence of the DSIEC representative, put the question if there is any member who is not in support of the candidature of Barr. Ajede Possible, which the whole party executives in a unanimous voice vote endorsed the candidature of Barr. Ajede Possible as the candidate of the party for the forthcoming 6th March 2021 local government election.
