Delta North APC Dissolves Illegal Forums, Backs Ned Nwoko’s Second Term Bid

All Progressives Congress (APC)

ASABA/Nigeria: The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Delta North Senatorial District, Ogbueishi Adizue Eluaka (JP), has announced the immediate dissolution of the so-called “Forum of Delta North APC LGA Chairmen” and the “Forum of APC Ward Chairmen,” declaring both groups unconstitutional and unauthorized.

Eluaka’s decisive action follows a controversial publication by the disbanded forum, which sought to undermine the endorsement of Senator Ned Munir Nwoko for a second term. In a statement released on Wednesday, Eluaka slammed the group as an illegal assembly of sponsored individuals whose activities were designed to create disunity in the party.

“We will not sit and watch a few disgruntled persons hiding under a forum unknown to our constitution cause disaffection in the APC,” Eluaka stated. “These actions are self-serving and will no longer be tolerated. The APC remains a platform for growth and inclusiveness.”

The announcement came after an APC stakeholders’ meeting held on Saturday, June 14, 2025, at Senator Nwoko’s country home in Idumuje-Ugboko, where leaders and members unanimously passed a vote of confidence on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu (GCFR), Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, and Senator Nwoko.

To ensure discipline and order, Eluaka directed that all official dealings will henceforth be with individual LGA and ward chairmen. He warned that any meetings convened by the now-defunct forums or other unauthorized groups would be regarded as illegal, with those involved facing disciplinary measures.

In a related development, the APC chapter in Aniocha South disowned an anti-Nwoko statement credited to its local chairman, Pastor Norbert Akachukwu Sochukwudinma. The chapter’s Publicity Secretary, Prince PC Izediunor, clarified that the statement did not represent the position of the Aniocha South APC leadership.

“That statement was made without due consultation with our leaders and executives,” the release said. “It is not within our jurisdiction as a local executive to pronounce on senatorial leadership matters.”

The chapter called for unity and urged members to focus on strengthening the party and promoting internal harmony.
