Delta North Community Continue to Be divided as Parties Abandon Peace Parts by Selected Traditional Rulers

ASABA/Nigeria: The story of Idumuje Ugboko has continued to remain that of internal conflict as parties to the age long dispute has abandoned the resolution that was reached by selected Traditional rulers from Delta North Senatorial District.

According to the resolution which was approved and signed by the committee, normalcy was suppoed to be back to the remote, and quite town of Idumuje Ugboko, in Aniocha North Local Government of Delta State, but Ndokwa Reporters can authouritatively confirm that one of the parties had refused to abide by the resolution of the high powered committee of traditional rulers.

In a communique signed the Chairman of the Delta North Traditional Rulers Council Committee that was constituted to mediate in the dispute, the committee resolved that,

“That all cases in Courts relating to the dispute in Idumuje-Ugboko be withdrawn with immediate effect. Also, the new case or the petition should be accommodated.”

“That HRM Obi Nonso Nwoko and Hon.Prince Ned Nwoko having agreed to close ranks before the mediators, should resume cooperation with a view to advancing the peace process”

“That all Chiefs of Idumuje-Ugboko should resume their respective duties in the Kingdom immediately.”

“That all cases of banishment, fines and pronouncements are hereby rescinded and should not be repeated in the future”

The resolution was approved by Dr Emmanuel O. Efeizomor II, OON, JP The Obi of Owa Kingdom & Chairman Delta North Traditional Rulers Forum, and it that all parties to the dispute are bound by this resolution.

The peace committee is made up of HRM Obi Dr Emmanuel Efeizomor II (Obi of Owa), Chairman, HRM Obi Henry Kikachukwu (Obi of Ubulu-Uno), Secretary, HRM Obi Daniel Ogbudo (Obi of Atuma, ̎HRM Obi Victor Chukwumalieze (Obi of Onicha-Ugbo), HRM Obi Charles Anyasi II (Obi of Idumuje-Uno), HRM Obi Engr. Nduka Ezeagwuna (Obi of Issele-Uku).

An investigation by this medium confirms that because of the continued differences, the resolution that was signed in January 26, 2020 was not released.
