ABOH/Nigeria: Chairman, Delta North Campaign Council of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), for Delta North Senatorial District, Chief Godwill Obielum has described the preparedness of the people of the district for the election as unprecedented.
Chief Obielum, while assessing the progress made during the campaign tours of Aniocha North and Ndokwa East local government areas of the state, observed that the people of the district have shown commitment to give 100 per cent votes to the PDP.
“I am proud to say I am from Delta North Senatorial District; from what we saw during the visits to the Wards, there is no compromise about giving 100 per cent votes to the PDP, “Chief Obielum said, adding, “the people were surprised that we could take the campaigns to their homes, to their Wards and I want to thank the wonderful members of the campaign council who are respected leaders in their own right and their commitment to the campaign should be commended.”
Chief Obielum continued, “We are moving from Ward to Ward; it is a very good experience having one-on-one discussion with our people.”
“Bearing in mind the nature of the assignment, there is no way we can complete one local government area in a day, so, we are taking our time and carefully planned our programmes for us to cover the 92 Wards in Delta North before February 14, 2019,” he disclosed, stating, “after the emergence of Alhaji Atiku Abubakar as President, successful re-election of Senator Peter Nwaoboshi, election of Hon. Ndudi Elumelu, Hon. Ossai Nicholas Ossai and Hon. Victor Nwokolo as members of House of Representatives to represent Aniocha/Oshimili, Ndokwa/Ukwuani and Ika Federal Constituencies respectively, we shall go round again on a thank you visit to our people preparatory for the voting to re-elect Governor Okowa and all the candidates for House of Assembly from Delta North on March 2, 2019, because, our slogan as initiated by our people at the grassroots is, PDP all the way, PDP 5/5.”
The renowned politician continued, “our work as members of the campaign council has been made easy by the performance of our Governor, Senator Dr Okowa, though, our people will naturally support him to complete two terms, at every Ward visited, the people testified that they have felt the impact of his good governance which has made it easier for us to talk as a people, united to produce two term Governor as other Senatorial Districts in the state have done.”
