WARRI/Nigeria: As Delta Queens Fc get set for greater Challenge ahead in the 2018/2019 Nigeria Women Premiership season, the Cheif Executive Officer of the side, Martha Ihedioha said they are satisfied with the welfare package from the State’s Sports Commission led by Tonobok Okowa.
The CEO who spoke to newsmen in a recent interview noted that the club now has 19 players in the State Government’s Payroll.
“Though last season (still ongoing with the side not in the super 4). We are more confident to achieve greater and better results this time around. We now have 19 players employed, in Government pay role. And that is a good boost for the players and will surely reflect in results. We thank the Tonybok Okowa led Sports Commission for being very supportive”. The CEO revealed.
Meanwhile, the Chief Executive Officer of Delta Queens Fc, Martha Ihedioha, noted that The Delta State representative in the NWPL, Delta Queens Fc is to commence screening today, Monday, Jan. 21th 2019.
According to the club’s CEO, the Screening will last till mid February at the The Federal Girls college football field, Asaba.
The Screening is open to both new and old players as efforts are on to beef up all various departments of the team.
She pledged their total commitment to Delta Queens Fc, adding that they are ready and eager to get better results as the Club begins screening for new players tomorrow, Monday 21st in their new base Asaba.
