ASABA/Nigeria: Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Emomotimi Dennis Guwor, on Sunday lauded Senator James Manager, describing him as a “great leader and uncle with many positive parts.”
In a congratulatory message marking Senator Manager’s 64th birthday, Guwor highlighted the Senator’s distinguished service both in the Nigerian Senate and as a former Commissioner in Delta State.
“Dear Distinguished Senator, as the Speaker of the Delta House of Assembly and a dear son to you, I am delighted to extend warm felicitations on the occasion of your 64th birthday anniversary,” Guwor said. “This milestone is a testament to your life’s journey, marked by dedication, service, and contributions to our state and nation.”
In a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Nkem Nwaeke, Guwor praised Senator Manager’s political acumen, which he said is vital for Nigeria’s evolving democracy. “Your wealth of experience is always needed in the political arena both in the state and at the national level,” he added.
Guwor emphasized Manager’s significant roles as Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and Commissioner for Works and Housing, calling his contributions “evergreen in the history of Delta State.” He also lauded Manager’s 16-year tenure in the Senate, noting it was characterized by “passion for the well-being of our people as well as your wisdom and commitment to good governance.”
“On behalf of my family, I pray that God grants you continued good health, strength, and wisdom to continue serving our nation and humanity. Happy 64th birthday, Distinguished Senator, and many more years of happiness and accomplishments,” Guwor concluded.
