ASABA/Nigeria: The Delta State Senior Special Assistants (SSA) Forum has unanimously endorsed Governor Sheriff Oborevwori for re-election in 2027, citing his transformative leadership and commitment to infrastructural and human capital development. The endorsement was announced at a meeting held on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, at Unity Hall, Government House, Asaba.
During the meeting, the Forum conferred the nickname “Mr. Development” on Governor Oborevwori in recognition of his administration’s strides in infrastructural renewal, economic growth, and the welfare of Deltans. According to the Forum, the governor’s MORE Agenda has significantly advanced the state’s progress, making a second term imperative for sustained development.
In a statement signed by its executives, including Chairman Hon. Lucky Dikadi, the Forum declared total support for the governor’s re-election, pledging to mobilize grassroots support to ensure his victory in 2027. The group emphasized that continuity in governance under Oborevwori would consolidate the gains already achieved and pave the way for more developmental initiatives.
The Forum further called on all Deltans to rally behind the governor, stressing that his administration has demonstrated a clear vision for the state’s future. “We firmly believe that Governor Oborevwori’s leadership remains the best path for Delta State’s progress, and we are committed to ensuring his second term,” the communiqué read.
The meeting also provided an opportunity for the Forum to reaffirm its commitment to the state’s development agenda. It urged appointees and stakeholders to work in synergy with the administration to sustain the tempo of transformation across all sectors.
With this strong endorsement from the SSAs, Governor Oborevwori’s re-election bid appears to be gaining momentum, setting the stage for a keenly contested 2027 gubernatorial race.
