Delta State Assembly Chairman on Information Urges Media Collaboration for Legislative Transformation

ASABA/Nigeria: In a bid to drive the transformative agenda of the 8th Delta State House of Assembly, Hon (Engr) Emeka Nwaobi, Chairman of the Assembly’s Committee on Information, seeks enhanced collaboration with the media. Nwaobi emphasizes the importance of balanced and robust reportage for effective dissemination of legislative activities.

During an interaction with Assembly Correspondents, Hon Nwaobi, representing Aniocha North Constituency and serving as the Majority Leader, outlines the Assembly’s commitment to achieving significant legislative transformation. He expresses the intention to strengthen collaboration with relevant stakeholders, with a particular focus on the media.

Nwaobi urges media practitioners to uphold professional integrity and work towards elevating the State legislature to unprecedented heights. “We are committed to taking the State legislature to another level,” he affirms, highlighting the Assembly’s reputation as the most vibrant in the country.

As the Chairman of the House Committee on Information, Nwaobi vows to collaborate closely with the media to ensure comprehensive coverage of legislative activities. He encourages practitioners to share ideas that contribute to the realization of the Assembly’s vision.

In appreciation of the Speaker’s choice for Chief Press Secretary, Nwaobi commends Rt Hon Emomotimi Guwor for selecting Nkem Nwaeke, describing him as an astute professional significantly contributing to the reporting of Assembly activities.

The Chief Press Secretary, Nkem Nwaeke,who  led the delegation to the Majority Leader’s office and expressed gratitude for the proposed innovation. He appeals to the House Committee Chairman on Information to consistently involve the media in the Assembly’s activities.
