Delta State Capital Development Agency Established To Drive Development In, Asaba, Okpanam, Other Neighbouring Communities – Ideh

ASABA/Nigeria: A Senior Special Assistant to Delta State Governor, Office of the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Amb. Sir Felix Ideh has identified the inclusion of Okpanam community as part of the Delta State Capital Development Territory as a major factor for its accelerated infrastructural development.

Amb. Sir Ideh stated this in his country home of Amachai Quarters, Okpanam in Oshimili North Local Government Area of the state when he led some leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the area including the Special Assistant to Governor Ifeanyi Okowa on Women Mobilisation, Mrs. Anthonia Chukwuedo and the Ward 9 Secretary of the party, Mr. Joseph Nwabiankea on a house to house/family to family campaign for the Governorship and State House of Assembly candidates of the party in the March 18 election.

He said that a road map for infrastructural development has been created with the establishment of the Delta State Capital Development Territory.

The SSA said that the initiative was in continuation of their campaign for Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori and Barr. Frank Esenwa as the State Governor and House of Assembly member for Oshimili North Constituency respectively, said that it was important for them to meet and interface with different groups in the community.

Amb. Sir Ideh described their grassroots movement for the victory of the party in all the villages in Amachai Quarters as a deliberate effort towards delivering PDPin the forthcoming election.

He urged the people to give overwhelming votes to all PDP candidates in order to ensure the continuity of the developmental strides in the area, stressing that they would hold rally the following day to sensitise the people on the benefits of voting for PDP.

Also speaking, the Special Assistant to the Governor on Women Mobilisation, Mrs. Anthonia Chukwuedo, who called on women in the area to come out and vote enmass for PDP, noted that Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa had always carried women along in the scheme of things.

Mrs. Chukwuedo assured the people of Okpanam that Sheriff Oborevwori’s administration would bring more development to the community.
