ASABA/Nigeria: In commemoration of our Governor’s remarkable 100 days in office, the Delta State Contributory Health Commission (DSCHC) is making a significant stride by announcing its ambitious plan to enroll 100,000 new informal sector participants into the Health Insurance Scheme.
According to Dr. Alfred Ebiakofa, the Functioning Director-General, registering for this scheme will liberate enrollees from the burden of exorbitant hospital bills and grant them access to affordable healthcare.
In a fervent call to action, Dr. Ebiakofa urged public-spirited individuals, religious leaders, philanthropists, traditional rulers, Honorable members, and well-meaning residents of Delta State to rally behind the campaign. He implored them to sponsor a minimum of 100 persons in their communities, ensuring that quality healthcare is accessible to all and contributing to a healthier Delta.
Dr. Ebiakofa emphasized that affordable and high-quality healthcare should be a right for every Delta State resident, regardless of their profession or financial status. The Health Commission’s robust health scheme offers comprehensive medical coverage at an incredibly low premium of just 7,000 Naira per year.
Highlighting the benefits of the scheme, he stressed that the affordable premium could safeguard families from financial strain during medical emergencies, providing them with peace of mind and the care they need.
The Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has been an ardent advocate of accessible healthcare and is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for every resident of Delta State. Guided by his leadership, this campaign aims to establish a sustainable healthcare system that benefits all citizens.
