LAGOS/Nigeria: In recognition of outstanding dedication to the teaching profession, the Delta State Commissioner for Secondary Education, Mrs. Rose Ezewu, expressed her appreciation for Mr. Azuh Chike Emmanuel’s remarkable contributions.
The announcement came during a ceremony held in Lagos recently, where representatives of the Delta State Government gathered for the Maltina National Teachers Competition Award Reception, with Mr. Azuh Chike Emmanuel, from Delta State, emerged as the second-best teacher in Nigeria.
This award ceremony took place at Jewel Aeida, Lekki, Lagos and witnessed the presence of commissioners of secondary education from 18 states across the country.
Mrs. Ezewu emphasized the importance of reinforcing competence among educators, highlighting the need to motivate teachers to excel in their profession. According to the commissioner, diligent work and a genuine passion for teaching allow individual teachers to make significant contributions that deserve recognition and reward.
Mrs. Ezewu also commended the management of Bournvita for their commitment to identifying and rewarding industrious individuals who, throughout the competition, demonstrated exceptional intellectual abilities.
Mr. Azuh Chike Emmanuel, a dedicated teacher at Ezemu Girls Secondary School in Ubulu Uno, Aniocha South Local Government Area, secured the second position in this year’s award after competing with teachers from various states across the federation.
