Delta State Contributory Health Insurance Scheme Is a Laudable Project – Ogidi-Gbegbaje

ASABA/Nigeria: The Permanent Secretary, Directorate of Government House and Protocol, Mr Eddy Ogidi-Gbebaje, has stated that the State Contributory Health Insurance Scheme was a laudable project that would benefit all Deltans including civil servants.

Speaking during a meeting with staff of the Directorate in Asaba, Mr Gbegbaje said the scheme has fully commenced operation in the state and enjoined staff to key into it for the benefit of their family.

According to him, “The Delta State Contributory Health Insurance Scheme is a laudable scheme, it has fully commenced operations, I enjoin staff to register and benefit from the scheme”, adding, “Today we have a staff of the Health Insurance Scheme to explain the operations of the scheme and clarify issues on it.”

Mr Ogidi-Gbegbaje charged staff of the Directorate to be diligent, committed, hard working and make good use of available opportunities to improve their effectiveness and efficiency, stressing that the meeting was meant to appraise performance of the Directorate in 2017.

He charged staff to always respect the communication channel and constituted authority established in the Directorate in the discharge of their duties, admonishing them to avoid gossip and backbiting.

Delivering a lecture on the Contributory Health Insurance Scheme, Mr Ben Bolum explained that the scheme was meant to provide quality and affordable health care to Deltans and to ensure that Deltans got the best medical care in the country, even as he enjoined everybody to embrace the scheme in order to enjoy the benefits.
