Delta State Education Commissioner Encourages Teachers for the Benefit of Deltans

ASABA/Nigeria:  Delta State Commissioner for Primary Education, Dr. Kingsley Ashibogwu, has called upon educators in the state to carry out their responsibilities with utmost effectiveness, emphasizing the broader advantages it would bring to the citizens of Delta.

Dr. Ashibogwu made this proclamation in Asaba while engaging with primary school heads and teachers during monitoring visits to Zappa Primary School, Ogbafor Primary School, and Government Model Primary School.

During his interactions with them, he conveyed that the administration led by Governor Sheriff Oborevwori is committed to recognizing and rewarding diligent teachers as part of its strategy to motivate and inspire their dedication.

The Commissioner’s primary objective during these visits was to assess the commitment levels of these educators in fulfilling their primary roles. He expressed satisfaction with their turnout and commitment to their profession.

Accompanying Dr. Ashibogwu on these visits was Dr. Michael Emeshili, a Deputy Director in the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education. Dr. Ashibogwu took the opportunity to remind the educators that the state government would not tolerate any form of indiscipline within their ranks.

He underscored the importance of maintaining a professional appearance, highlighting that teachers are nation-builders, and their influence on the lives of children is of paramount significance. Dr. Ashibogwu assured the teachers that the state government would continuously prioritize their welfare.

Furthermore, Dr. Ashibogwu commended private school proprietors for their contributions in addressing unemployment issues, noting that they have created job opportunities for many aspiring workers. He stressed the necessity for private educational institutions to employ only qualified teachers who can impart their wealth of experience for the betterment of children and society at large.

The monitoring efforts to ensure the quality of education in Delta State are set to continue, underscoring the government’s commitment to the educational development of its citizens.
