Delta State Government Announces Ongoing Sale of Entrance Examination Forms for Model Secondary Schools

ASABA/Nigeria: Delta State Government (DTSG) has issued a notification to parents and guardians, informing them that the sale of Entrance Examination Forms into the 17 Model Secondary Schools in the state is still ongoing. In a statement released by Mr. Augustine Oghoro, the Permanent Secretary in the State Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education, interested applicants were urged to purchase the forms from the office of Chief Inspectors of Education (CIEs) in the 25 Local Government Areas.

The forms are available at a cost of Two Thousand Five Hundred Naira (₦2,500) and can be purchased between now and the closing date for the sale, which is Wednesday, July 19, 2023. It was emphasized that there will be no provision for the purchase of forms on the day of the examination. The examination itself is scheduled to take place on Saturday, July 22, 2023.

The statement clarified that the classes for which interested candidates can apply for admission include JS 1, JS 2, SS 1, and SS 2. It further advised primary six pupils who passed the recently released results of the 2023 Cognitive/Placement Examination and are willing to enter any of the Model Secondary Schools to apply for admission by purchasing the Entrance Examination Forms before the closing date.

Mr. Oghoro reiterated in the statement that the examination will be held on Saturday, July 22, 2023, at the designated examination centers. Parents and guardians are urged to take note of the timeline and ensure that interested candidates complete the necessary procedures within the stipulated timeframe.
