Delta State Government Opens Applications for 2024 MORE Grant Scheme for Artisans

ASABA/Nigeria: In a move aimed at bolstering support for skilled workers, particularly artisans, the Delta State Government has announced the commencement of applications for the 2024 MORE Grant Scheme.

The Honourable Commissioner for Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Community Support Services and Girl-Child Development, Ms. Orode Uduaghan, has approved the initiation of this scheme, tailored specifically for artisans aged 21 to 50 years.

Application forms will be available for collection at the Secretariat of each of the 25 Local Government Councils in the state on Monday, 22nd and Tuesday, 23rd April 2024, from 11am to 2pm. These forms will be provided free of charge, and applicants must present a valid means of identification such as the National Identity card, Permanent Voter’s card, National Driver’s license, or international passport.

It is important to note that applicants must be indigenes of Delta State, as well as of the local government area where the form is collected. They must also be residents of their local government area of origin. Notably, artisans who have previously benefitted from any Delta State Government grant or intervention programme are not eligible to apply.

The deadline for the submission of filled application forms is Wednesday, April 24th, 2024, no later than 3pm, at the Local Government Secretariat where the form was collected.

For further information and inquiries, interested parties are advised to contact the Office of the Director of Public Communication, Mrs. Theresa Adiabua Oliko.

This initiative underscores the Delta State Government’s commitment to empowering its citizens and promoting economic development through targeted support for artisans and skilled workers.
