Delta State Government Vows to Tackle Investment Barriers and Promote Economic Growth

ASABA/Nigeria: Senator Emmanuel Aguariavwodo, the Senior Political Adviser to Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, has revealed the Delta State Government’s commitment to address obstacles hindering investment and ease of doing business in the State. During a courtesy visit by the Chairman and members of the Non-indigenes Group, led by President Sir BePrrnard Agazuma at his Asaba office, Senator Aguariavwodo outlined the government’s plans to collaborate with the private sector in bolstering the power sector and fostering industrialization in the State.

With a focus on enhancing peace and security in the region, Senator Aguariavwodo emphasized that Delta State surpasses other states as an investment destination. He urged non-indigenous residents to embrace the peaceful environment and capitalize on the investor-friendly climate to bring more businesses to Delta State.

The Senior Political Adviser, Senator Aguariavwodo, stated, “Governor Oborevwori is working hard to improve the ease of doing business in Delta, encouraging more investors to choose our State as their investment hub. Our Governor is a man of action, and he has already begun to deliver on his promises. I firmly believe that his administration will be a blessing not only to Deltans but also to non-indigenous residents. We are addressing all impediments to industrialization and infrastructural development to pave the way for the State’s progress.”

Emphasizing Delta’s reputation as a peaceful haven, Aguariavwodo pointed out the low crime statistics compared to other states in Nigeria, assuring potential investors of a secure environment for their ventures.

During the courtesy visit, Sir Bernard Agazuma congratulated Senator Aguariavwodo on his well-deserved appointment as Senior Political Adviser and expressed the group’s support for the State Government’s efforts in fostering peace and economic development. He disclosed that the Non-indigenes Group, comprising members from Arewa, Ibos, and Yoruba communities in the South-South, is actively working to attract more businesses to Delta State, seeking the support of the State Government in their endeavors.

With Governor Oborevwori’s administration at the helm and an increasing focus on overcoming investment barriers, Delta State looks poised to pave the way for economic growth and development, promising opportunities for both local and non-indigenous entrepreneurs.
