ASABA/Nigeria: In a significant development, Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has made a strategic move by assigning the responsibility of overseeing the Enerhen Junction to 1st Marine Gate Flyover Project construction to Commissioner for Special Projects, Barr. Funyei Manager.
The official announcement came through a statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary (CPS) to the Governor, Sir Festus Ahon, released on Monday in Asaba. This marks a pivotal step in the state’s infrastructure development plan, as Manager is now tasked with spearheading the project’s supervision until its successful completion.
Governor Oborevwori, in a clear show of his commitment to delivering top-notch infrastructure for the people of Delta State, emphasized the importance of diligence in the project’s supervision. He urged the Commissioner to ensure that the contractor delivers a world-class standard project that would benefit not only the people of Delta State but also residents and visitors to the oil-rich city.
The Enerhen Junction to 1st Marine Gate Flyover is part of a broader initiative that includes the construction of three flyovers and road expansion projects. These projects have been awarded to the renowned German construction giant, Julius Berger Nigeria Plc. The contract for these transformative projects was formally signed on Wednesday, October 18, 2023, heralding a new era of development for Delta State.
