UBULU-UKU/Nigeria: Dr. Adigwe Kingsley, the Principal Medical Officer of Ubulu-Uku General Hospital in Aniocha South Local Government Area, has expressed his gratitude to the State Governor, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori, for a game-changing provision of medical equipment.
In an exclusive interview during a Special Assignment, Dr. Kingsley acknowledged the governor’s remarkable efforts within his first 100 days in office.
“Healthcare system has improved greatly here at the Ubulu-Uku General Hospital, and we are grateful to the State Government for these materials that are making our job so easy here,” Dr. Kingsley exclaimed with enthusiasm. The medical officer spoke passionately about the positive impact of the equipment, highlighting adjustable beds, stools, trays, Patient Trolley, Theater Drapes, Ultra Sound Scanning Machine, Phototherapy Machine, Neonatal Incubators, Oxygen Conductors, and a host of other vital supplies.
“We are short of words to express our gratitude to the state governor, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori, for providing us with medical equipment within his first 100 days in office,” he added.
In addition to lauding the governor’s contributions, Dr. Kingsley appealed for further assistance, particularly in the form of a Solar Power grid, to enhance the hospital’s operations consistently.
Meanwhile, Dr. (Mrs) Philomena Otaviseri Okeowo, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Health in the State, unveiled a comprehensive list of achievements by the present State Governor within his first 100 days in office. These achievements include the provision of Solar Power grids and generators to hospitals across the state, the construction of a General Hospital at Okpu in Ika North East Local Government Area, and the procurement and installation of medical equipment in twenty-one hospitals across the region. The governor has also extended financial medical assistance to individuals throughout the state and spearheaded various healthcare initiatives, including the Maternal Newborn and Child Health Breastfeeding Week, the World Tuberculosis Week, the commemoration of the World Sickle Cell Day, and the launch of the 2024 Annual Operational Plan for the health sector, among others.
Governor Oborevwori’s dedication to enhancing healthcare infrastructure and services in Delta State is indisputably making a profound impact on the lives of its citizens, with Ubulu-Uku General Hospital serving as a shining example of his commitment to the welfare of the people.
