WARRI/Nigeria: In an exclusive interview with Kpoko FM, Warri, Chief Press Secretary to the Delta State Governor, Sir Festus Ahon, reaffirmed Governor Oborewori’s dedication to serving all Deltans, expressing gratitude for their unwavering support during elections and legal battles.
Ahon, who emphasized the governor’s commitment to an administration for every class of person, highlighted the successful resolution of 38 legal battles and Governor Oborewori’s readiness to deliver on the M.O.R.E agenda – promising dividends of democracy for all.
During the radio program, Ahon addressed the ongoing projects across the state, spanning senatorial districts, Local Government Areas, and communities, asserting that no one would be sidelined in the government. He outlined recent initiatives, such as the employment of over 2000 teaching and non-teaching staff in primary schools, payment of over N5 billion in promotion arrears to civil servants, and ongoing construction projects.
Looking ahead, Ahon assured Deltans of an intensified focus on project delivery, stating, “Now that the cases are over, Deltans should expect more projects.” He emphasized the state’s commitment to maintaining quality in project execution and urged the opposition to collaborate for the state’s progress.
In response to queries about inclusivity, Ahon declared Governor Oborewori as a leader for all Deltans, irrespective of political affiliation, citing instances of compassionate actions towards individuals regardless of party lines.
Regarding the present mood of the governor, Ahon conveyed, “We are still basking in the euphoria of our victory and we are still thanking God because we cannot thank Him enough.” He concluded by assuring the public that every part of the state would be included in terms of projects, empowerment, and appointments.
