UDU/Nigeria: Governor Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta State has pledged to finalize the Udu Harbour market project within his current term.
The Governor stated this during the wedding ceremony of Nancy and Aghogho at Church of God Mission (Potters House), Orhuwhorun Road, Udu Local Government Area.
Emphasizing his commitment to bolstering the local economy, the Governor assured residents of Udu that the market’s completion would empower women in the area economically.
Furthermore, the governor reiterated his administration’s dedication to finishing ongoing projects initiated by previous administrations across the state, affirming that his “MORE Agenda for Deltans” would leave no area untouched.
Expressing gratitude for the gift of Bibles from the Church, Governor Oborevwori underscored the significance of divine guidance in his leadership journey.
During his sermon, Revd. Michael Ogbeh, National Presbyter of Orhuwhorun Province, highlighted the sacred nature of marriage as a covenant ordained by God, emphasizing its roles in companionship, procreation, and redemption.
The wedding ceremony, officiated by Revd. Prof. Jonathan Idialu, Zonal Coordinator of Warri Zone 3, witnessed the signing of the marriage register by the couple, attended by dignitaries including the Governor’s wife, Deaconess Tobore Oborevwori, and other government officials.
