ASABA/Nigeria: In an interactive session with the indigenous correspondent chapel in Asaba, Bar. Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe, the Executive Assistant to the Delta State Governor, emphasized that the interest of Deltans remains the top priority for Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s administration.
During the session, Bar. Latimore highlighted the administration’s determination to execute projects that would satisfy and benefit all Deltans. He emphasized that the governor would not tolerate contractors who deliver substandard work, underlining the administration’s commitment to the people’s interests.
Bar. Latimore also stressed the administration’s prudent management of state resources, stating that Governor Oborevwori is against wasteful spending. He noted that all plans and activities would adhere to budget projections in alignment with the administration’s MORE agenda, aimed at achieving sustainable development across the state.
The Executive Assistant assured that the MORE agenda would bring benefits to all Deltans. He urged journalists to maintain objectivity in their reportage and to avoid speculative reports and sensational headlines. Additionally, he promised to prioritize the welfare of journalists, particularly members of the indigenous correspondents chapel.
In response, the chairman of the chapel, Comrade Kenneth Orusi, expressed appreciation for Oghenesivbe’s visit. He pledged that chapel members would collaborate with the government to effectively disseminate information about government activities and programs.
