ASABA/Nigeria: In a resounding call for unity and unwavering support, Sir Festus Ahon, the Chief Press Secretary (CPS) to Delta State Governor, has implored all stakeholders to stand behind the current administration of Rt. Hon Sheriff Oborevwori, emphasizing the need for accelerated realization of its ambitious MORE agenda in the state.
Sir Ahon made this plea on Wednesday while receiving the executives of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) from Ughelli North Local Government Area, led by their Chairman, Pastor Kesiena Nuomuodja.
Highlighting the vigorous efforts put forth by Governor Oborevwori’s government in striving for equitable development across the state, the CPS underscored that work was already underway in the Otovwodo area of Ughelli, aimed at alleviating traffic congestion on the East-West Road.
Acknowledging the recent progress made by the PDP in Ughelli North local government area, he urged the party to redouble its efforts to reshape the narrative in future elections.
In his own words, Sir Ahon stressed, “We must work together as a family to ensure that, in 2027, the PDP wins in Ughelli North. We should not allow the opposition to rear their heads in Ughelli North again. So, we need to talk to our people to support the present administration.”
He continued, “We also urge you to continue to pray for our Governor because he is a man who loves all and is committed to working for Deltans; so, we have to give him the necessary support and prayers.”
Earlier, Pastor Kesiena Nuomuodja, the Chairman of the PDP in Ughelli North, expressed gratitude for the Governor’s appointment of one of their own as his CPS, emphasizing the appointee’s impeccable credentials as a veteran journalist, describing his appointment as “a square peg in a square hole.”
Pastor Nuomuodja revealed that the visit aimed not only to convey their appreciation but also to forge a collaboration with the Office of the CPS, working together to enhance the future performance of Ughelli North PDP in upcoming elections.
He reaffirmed the party’s loyalty to the present administration in the state, underlining their commitment to strategize with local stakeholders in preparation for the 2027 general elections.
