ABOH/Nigeria: Member representing Ndokwa East Constituency in the Delta State House of Assembly, Honorable Prince Emeka Osamuta, has issued a vital public health advisory. He has called upon members of his constituency, particularly those who own dogs, to ensure the vaccination of their canine companions against the deadly rabies disease.
Highlighting the severity of the situation, Honorable Prince Emeka Osamuta pointed out that there has been a worrying increase in rabies attacks within several communities in the local government area. In response to this, he emphasized, “Therefore, all dogs, whether local or foreign breeds, must be promptly taken for vaccinations to prevent potential fatalities.”
Moreover, the legislator informed the public that the Delta State Government has taken a proactive stance in addressing this issue by offering free treatments for dogs. He urged the citizens to seize this opportunity and make their dogs available for vaccination, thereby ensuring the safety of both their pets and the community at large.
