ASABA/Nigeria: In response to prevailing circumstances, the Delta State Ministry of Health has announced a significant rescheduling of common entrance and internal examinations across State Colleges of Nursing Sciences. The decision, conveyed through an official statement from the office of the Commissioner for Health, aims to mitigate potential risks and ensure the safety of all involved.
Expressing regret for any inconvenience caused, the ministry emphasized the paramount importance of upholding integrity in examinations, urging candidates and students to maintain decorum and abstain from any form of malpractice.
As per the revised schedule outlined in the statement, the common entrance examination for the Basic Midwifery Programme, initially set for Monday, March 11, 2024, at Dennis Osadebay University, Anwai, has been postponed to Monday, March 18, 2024, at the same venue. Similarly, the common entrance examination for the Basic Nursing Programme, originally slated for Saturday, March 16, 2024, at the University of Delta, Agbor, will now take place on Saturday, March 23, 2024.
Additionally, the statement detailed adjustments to the preliminary Training Studies (PTS) examination for students enrolled in the Community Nursing and Midwifery Programmes. Previously scheduled for March 18th to 22nd, 2024, the PTS examination will now be conducted from March 25th to 29th, 2024.
